This week, we have focussed on the story ‘So Much’ by Trish Cooke. It is a lovely story where many different people come together for a big birthday surprise. They all talk about how they love the baby “so much!” We have also learnt the signs for ‘party’, ‘cake’ and ‘happy’.
We have been working on making our vocabulary grow and using different words that mean the same thing. This week, we have focussed on the word ‘happy’ and have learnt that we can also say; jolly, joyous, delighted, content and jovial. As part of our Jigsaw sessions, we have talked about different emotions and what might make us feel certain ways. We explored things that we can do if we are feeling upset or cross.
As the weather is becoming a little cooler, we have been discussing autumn and what happens around this time of year. We have learnt a lovely song called ‘Crunching Through the Leaves’ to sing whenever we are out and about and see leaves on the ground.
Please have a look at the Home Learning below to find some fun activities to do at home.
A few reminders:
- Please could you check that your child’s uniform and any bags are named.
- We are approaching that time of year where we all have lots of sniffles. Therefore, we would greatly apprecitae a donation of a box of tissues.
- We are asking for £3 contributions towards buying ingredients for cooking. These can be made via the School Gateway app.
