Paramedic and Police Visits

This week we welcomed PC Ben Davis to Year 6. He spoke about entry routes into the police as well as protected characteristics and being good citizens in our communities. He also let us see the inside of his police car! It was a really positive experience for our children and an opportunity to ask super questions!

We were also fortunate to have paramedic Sam Gamper offer to come in on Wednesday. Children were taught how to perform chest compressions – with our Year 6 pupils entertaining him with many rounds of ‘Staying Alive’ by the Beegees! He also allowed us to go inside the ambulance, with some even lucky enough to try out the lift and sit in the driver’s seat!

Sporting Success

Following last week’s blog about our sporting success, we have received even more! We will do another blog post soon so keep sending in photos and trophies!

Best wishes,

Miss Baxter, Miss Stone and Miss Clarke

Firstly we wanted to congratulate our girls’ football team for coming second in the city! Many schools participated in a tournament on Monday and we could not be prouder of our team! They displayed resilience, team work and skill!

Molly S, Ellie W, Nuala, Willow, Ava, Lily, Molly D, Summer and Maia we wanted to say a huge congratulations to you all!

Sports Day Success

We also wanted to say well done to everyone in Year 6 for their tremendous efforts in their sports day races! We were so proud of their javelin throws, sprints and relays! Well done to 6EB for being the winners from Year 5 and 6, with 6ST and 6CS coming third and fifth respectively. We were so proud of everyone!

Individual Success outside of school

Our Year 6’s success extends beyond the classroom too! Outside of school many have been awarded football trophies! Well done Noah, Ismael, Ollie and Riley! If anyone else received a trophy, please do let us know!

Finally, a HUGE well done Noah for his cycling success! He has been working hard at home and completed a 3 hour cycle last weekend! This is such an impressive achievement!

Have a lovely weekend!
