We have had a brilliant first full week in the Nursery this week; the children have been very busy and are now probably feeling rather tired!
Our focus story has been the ever popular ‘Goldilocks and The Three Bears’ which was a familiar one for many children. Linking with our story this week, we have been filling different sized containers with oats to make ‘porridge’ for the three bears. We have made loud and quiet sounds with our voices and musical instruments to match the voices of the bears. We have also learnt a couple of Goldilocks songs, which was a lot of fun.
As well as these activities linking to our story, we have been very busy continuing to get to know one another, including learning the names of our classmates and all the adults in our setting. We have been familiarising ourselves with our school routines and becoming much more confident navigating our way around. During our carpet times, we have been working on our looking and listening skills too, which are improving each day!
A few reminders:
- Please could you check that your child’s uniform and any bags are named.
- We are approaching that time of year where we all have lots of sniffles. Therefore, we would greatly apprecitae a donation of a box of tissues.
- We are asking for £3 contributions towards buying ingredients for cooking. These can be made via the School Gateway app.
