The Munching Crunching Caterpillar

This week we have been looking at the story ‘The Munching Crunching Caterpillar’. The children have loved to see our own caterpillars each day and comment on how much they have grown! We have learnt all about the lifecycle of a caterpillar and we are eagerly waiting for ours to form their own chrysalis.

The children have loved learning the songs ‘If I were a mini-beast’ and ‘Pitter Patter Caterpillar’ – perhaps they could sing them to you at home.

We have also been talking about habitats and micro-habitats – can you remember what they are? We went into the Discovery Garden and enjoyed finding different mini-beasts and seeing where they live.

The Sports Day was really successful. Thank you to everyone who came to support the children. They loved every minute of it and must have slept very well that night!

Please have a look at the Home Learning that has been attached to find some fun activities that link to each area of your child’s learning. We would love to hear from you about your child’s home learning. Please could you email these to us at: fshomelearning@exwickheights.devon.sch.uk
