About Exwick Heights

Two existing primary schools were brought together at Exwick Heights in 2008, turning a greenfield site into a vibrant mixed–use development which serves both local primary children and the wider community.

The school, designed by NPS South West Ltd for Devon County Council, is built on the edge of Exeter’s green fringe and occupies a sensitive site in terms of its semi-rural location and position within long views across Exeter city. The school building is a single, curved structure arranged on two levels on the northern slope of a valley; the two storey south facing elevation makes the most of the site’s views, while the northern elevation slopes to a single storey.

In September 2013, a further building opened to accommodate our expanding school. Seven new classrooms are contained within the new build for our Nursery, Reception and Year 1 children.
